REGISTRATION FEES AND DEADLINES
Deadline: April 1, 2017
Cost: $75 per graduate
Includes: Cap, gown, and diploma
Late Registration Deadline: May 1, 2017
Late Registration Fee: Additional $25 ($100 total fee)
Registrations received after May 1 will be reviewed, but may not be accepted due to limited gown availability. Acceptances will be subject to an additional expedited shipping fee (amount TBD).
One of the following is required in order to participate as a graduate:
- High School transcript
- High School course of study
- Acceptance letter from any institution of higher learning
During the SHEM Convention, May 18-20, 2017, graduates may display a portfolio showcasing their life and work at the UP Convention Center. The area provided is approximately 8 sq. ft. with one half table. If space is desired, please check the appropriate box on the registration form (next page). Tables must be set up May 19, immediately prior to or immediately following rehearsal.
At least one parent must be present for rehearsal. The graduates’ parents present the diploma. As this is a formal and solemn occasion, the following dress code applies to all participants:
- Modest clothing
- Modest hair colors and styles
- Modest make-up
- Limited, modest body piercings
- Limited, modest jewelry
Neither the graduation service nor diploma indicate any official endorsement by SHEM or any other authority of the graduate’s status. Diplomas are issued and signed by parents.
- Complete and e-mail the registration form along with one of the required eligibility documents (see “Eligibility” above).
- Mail a check payable to SHEM for the appropriate fee(s) (see “Registration Fees and Deadlines” above) to SHEM Graduation PO Box 722 Nixa, MO 65714.
Registration deadlines apply to both the e-mailed form (with correct eligibility documentation) and payment. Late payment, application, or documentation will result in the addition of the $25 late fee.
